Please note: It's extremely important that your name submitted is an exact match to your ID that you will show at the airport in order to fly. 

You do not need your passport for this tour. 

We recommend using your drivers licence.  Register with your name exactly as it appears on your driver's licence. 


A deposit of $600 per person is required to secure your booking. 

Deposit  is refundable minus $40pp until April  15, 2026 

Insurance:  This tour is 100% non refundable after May 20th with Jamieson Travel.  Please protect your investment with cancellation coverage.  We recommend BLUE CROSS coverage. Call at 1-866-732-2583 for a quote.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Monday, June 15, 2026

 Fly to St. John's, Newfoundland.  Today is a travel day. After our Valley Pick up’s along Hwy 17. (Pembroke to Ottawa) we fly from the Ottawa airport to St. John's, Newfoundland. Upon arrival in St. John’s we will transfer to our fabulous  hotel overlooking the bay walking distance to great restaurants and shops that Water St. is famously known for in St. John's.  Overnight in St. John's.  ALT Hotel.

Ottawa -Halifax PD 241  09:00 - 11:40

Halifax - St. Johns PD 2283  14:40-17:00

Day 2 - Tuesday, June 16, 2026

 St. John's.  After a leisurely breakfast, a local guide will take us on a scenic tour through St. John's, including the historical sites of  Quidi Vidi, St. John's Basilica, and the Government House.  Lunch will be included at Chafe's Landing in Petty Harbour, one of the oldest fishing communities in the province; a true taste of Newfoundland at its finest!  Enjoy a free afternoon to relax, browse or shop along the famous Water, Duckwork and George Streets - all walking distance from our hotel. This evening is free to enjoy the lovely restaurants near our hotel.   

Today, breakfast & lunch will be included.  Hotel:  ALT Hotel. 

Day 3 - Wednesday, June 17, 2026

St. John's - Gander.  Today we visit Cape Spear, North America's most easterly point. Enjoy the walking paths and stunning views. Have your camera ready for whales! After lunch, we will travel through Terra Nova National Park en route to Gander, the "Crossroads of the world".

Day 4 - Thursday, June 18, 2026

Gander - Twillingate - Gander. This morning we travel along the "Road to the Isles" as we make our way to Twillingate.  Explore the history of this beautiful outport including  stops at Long Point Lighthouse, Auk Winery tour & taste,  and an interesting tour of the Twillingate Prime Birth Fishing Museum.  We enjoy a scenic drive along the coast line of Notre Dame Bay as we make our way back to Gander.  Before returning to our hotel, we will see the famous Gander Airport landing site where so many planes were forced to land on that fateful day - 9/11.

Day 5 - Friday, June 19, 2026

 Grand Falls - Cow Head  Our morning stop today will be at the Grand Falls Salmon Interpretation Centre, where we see a live salmon ladder and learn about different fish in the province of Newfoundland.  After lunch in Deer Lake, we will enjoy a scenic drive along one of North America's most spectacular coastlines as we start along the Viking Trail to world renowned Gros Morne National Park. A visit to the new Discovery Centre greets us into the park also known as the "Galapagos of Plate Tectonics".   

Today, breakfast, and dinner will be included.  HOTEL - Shallow Bay. 

Day 6 - Saturday, June 20, 2026

 St. Anthony.   This morning we will have breathtaking  and informative boat tour  into the Western Brook Pond in Gros Morne Park. You learn the geology of the Tablelands and enjoy the scenery of the Long Range Mountains and glacier carved fjords. Please note: to access this boat tour, a 2.5km (~45min) walk into the park is required.  You can also take the golf cart ride for a small cash fee.  After lunch, we make our way up the scenic  Viking Trail Hwy  to St. Anthony. 

 Today, breakfast and lunch will be included.  HOTELS - Hotel North and Haven Inn (for rooms needing two beds).

Day 7 - Sunday, June 21, 2026

St. Anthony.  This morning we have a special charter sailing into the Atlantic in search of whales and icebergs with Northland Discovery. The most common sightings are Humpback whales along with Minke and Finn whales. After our two our tour we tour the historic Grenfell Heritage museum & properties.  The rest of the afternoon is free.  A reservation for dinner this evening is at the Light Keepers Cafe.  Those wishing to order a lobster supper can do so here, or enjoy other entries from their lovely menu. 

Today, breakfast will be included.  HOTEL - Hotel North  and Haven Inn (for those who require  two beds in their room).

Day 8 - Monday, July 22

 St. Anthony - Rocky Harbour.   This morning we visit the UNESCO World Heritage site L'Anse aux Meadows, home of Lief the lucky and the Viking people who settled this area. Lunch will be included at the Dark Tickle Preserve Co. (along with some shopping time in their unique store front before we travel south to the quaint town of  Rocky Harbour.  This evening we are in for a treat as we partake in the local tradition of a Screetch Inn at our hotel before we take our seats for some amazing pub food and the famous Anchors Aweigh band.  A perfect way to end our time on The Rock.   

Today, breakfast & lunch will be included.  HOTEL - Ocean View

Day 9 - Sunday, July 27

Rocky Harbour - Flight Home. This morning we tour the Newfoundland Wildlife Museum showcasing the animals on the island along with a beautiful gift shop.  A group lunch will be at the Buoy and Arrow, (famously known for their lobster rolls) for one more meal taste of Newfoundland. 

We then transfer to the Deer Lake airport for our flight home.  Drop offs will occur along the Hwy 17 corridor in the reverse order as the pick ups on Day 1.  Today, breakfast will be included.

Deer Lake - Halifax  PD #2196   15:00 - 16:05 (1.5hr duration)

Halifax - Ottawa PD # 244 17:05 - 17:45 .  (1.50hr duration)
